Newborn Nurses, LLC is a private home health agency that provides Lactation / Postpartum Services to women and babies.  Visits by experienced Newborn Nurses help women to overcome the obstacles of breastfeeding in the privacy and comfort of their own homes.  Newborn Nurses, LLC is an emerging home health leader due to the high quality of service and the high level of customer satisfaction.  The Lactation / Postpartum Program is very successful with a wide range of satisfied clients including new mothers, obstetricians and pediatricians.  Newborn Nurses is proud to be a contracted Lactation Provider for Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.  Our coverage area includes Greater Boston, North Shore, Metro West and the South Shore.

 

Newborn Nurses was founded in October of 2005 by two registered nurses with over 20 years combined experience in Postpartum and Lactation care.  The founders realized the need for quality Lactation / Postpartum Programs and services for mothers and new babies.  This realization led to the creation of Newborn Nurses.  The Newborn Nurse team consists of experienced health care professionals, many of whom are employed by Boston's top hospitals.  Not only are we experienced but we also share a passion for supporting and helping new moms and babies.  We love what we do and our clients know this.

Our Team of RN'S

Carole Arsenault  RN, CCE, IBCLC, is the founder of NewbornNurses.  She is a certified childbirth educator and Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Having worked at many area hospitals including Brigham and Woman's, St. Elizabeth's and Caritas, Carole has a great deal of experience. Her passion is supporting and nurturing expectant parents into their new roles. She has helped many families through those first few challenging weeks after birth and has a huge success rate in helping babies sleep through the night.  Carole resides in the Boston area with her husband and three children. 

Maureen Kent  RN, IBCLC, is a registered nurse at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and has over 10 years of newborn / postpartum experience.  Maureen is an active partner at Newborn Nurses and is a  Board Certified Lactation Consultant.  Not only does Maureen care for new mothers and babies, she is also a mentor and educator for new nurses and nursing students hoping to gain access into the postpartum field.   She has helped many new parents take care of their babies in the privacy of their own homes.  She is the mother of two school age children and resides in the greater Boston area.

Jaeger Andrea Agraz RN, has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University.  She is currently enrolled at Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professions getting her Master of Science in Nursing as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.  Jaeger's experience with children includes working at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital and she is currently employed at the Martha Elliot Health Center in the pediatric department.  Jaeger brings her professional experience as well as her passion for working with newborns and their caregivers.

Amy Bradford RN, BSN, MSN, recieved both her bachelors and master's degree in nursing at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. Her master's degree is in advanced practice nursing as a pediatric nurse practitioner. Amy has worked in outpatient pediatrics, and is currently employed by Mount Auburn Hospital in the newborn nursery, and postpartum unit. She has a strong passion in promoting health and wellness among children and newborns.

Muriel Corbett  RN, CPN , MS, CCLS, is a registered nurse, certified specifically in pediatrics, and a child life specialist.  As a registered nurse, Muriel has cared for children and their families for the last six years in a variety of settings- mostly at Children’s Hospital Boston- including: the general medical floor, intermediate care program, the orthopedic clinic, and a local pediatric primary care office.  At Children’s, Muriel also attended newborn behavioral observation training with Dr. Nugent from the Brazelton Institute.  As a child life intern she nurtured, educated, and supported many infants, toddlers and their families on an infant/toddler medical floor, a pediatric intensive care unit, and at Isis Maternity as a co-teacher for parent/child developmental groups.  Her post-graduate work focused primarily on the infant/toddler developmental period and the education and support of infants and their families.  She co-wrote an article for Nursing Spectrum detailing the importance and efficacy of anxiety reducing interventions for children.  Caring for and supporting newborns and their families has always been her passion.  Muriel lives in the South Shore with her husband and infant daughter.

Elizabeth Dragone RN, graduate of Mass Bay Nursing School. Elizabeth works on the Maternity floor at Mt. Auburn Hospital specializing in newborns and post-partum mothers! Elizabeth has years of personal experience too. She is mom to three wonderful children (5 years, 2 years and 2 months) Elizabeth lives right outside of Boston and enjoys working with newborns and their families!

Michelle Forsyth RN, received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Simmons College. Over the past 10 years Michelle has been employed by Brigham & Women's Hospital on the labor floor. Michelle has many years of experience supporting new parents in their new roles and assisting with breastfeeding and newborn care. Michelle also brings her personal experience by raising 4 of her own children, 3 girls ages 16, 14, 12 and 1 boy age 10. When Michelle is not at the hospital delivering babies or at home taking care of her children she enjoys reading, watching movies, talking with her children, and spending time with friends and family.

Natalie Gendron RN, is a Registered Nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital in the Postpartum Unit and Newborn Nursery. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island in 2002. Before settling down in the Maternity unit at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Natalie has worked in the Gynecological Oncology and High Risk Antenatal units also at Brigham, as well as taking on the amazing venture of being a Travel Nurse in the Obstetric specialty in both Northern and Southern California. Natalie has extensive experience with parent education, infant care and breastfeeding and is also a preceptor at her hospital for nursing students who are on their way to become a nurse. Natalie is a supportive and nurturing nurse and she enjoys helping couples adapt to their new role as parents. It is her passion to help parents welcome their new little ones into the world and she takes pride in helping others in this beautiful process. She currently lives in Boston and truly loves her line of work.

Pamela Higgins RN, has been working in the Maternal child health field for over 30 years.  Pam has worked in postpartum, labor and delivery, and lactation.  Pam is a lactation consultant IBCLC certified. Pam runs the new mom group, teaches breastfeeding classes and is a Nurse Educator.  Pam has worked at Deaconess Waltham and is currently employed at Mount Auburn Hospital.  

 

Amy Jardin RN, received her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from the Medical College of Georgia.  Over the past 6 years as a registered nurse, Amy has cared for newborns in a variety of settings, from the intensive care unit to the normal newborn nursery.  She has supported many new parents in their new roles.  Amy is currently employed at Mount Auburn Hospital in both the Special Care Nursery and the normal newborn nursery.

Maureen Lange RN, has been working as nurse for over 20 years.  Maureen has worked in various hospitals including Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Newton Wellesley, and Massachusetts General Hospital.  Maureen has also worked with patients as a visiting nurse, private duty nurse and has worked at Harvard Van Guard for antenatal patients.  Maureen has had many years of experience working with new mothers assisting with breastfeeding and infant care.  Not only does Maureen have professional experience but she also brings her personal experiences gained from raising her children.  Maureen is currently employed at Brigham & Women’s Hospital on the post partum floor.

Victoria Lucente-Bonadio RN, has been working as an RN for the past four years. Previously, she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Management from Bentley College, and committed to pursuing her true passion and received an Associates of Science in Nursing from Lawrence Memorial/Regis College. She is currently employed at Brigham & Women’s Hospital as a postpartum nurse. She is also a visiting nurse for Centrus Home Care and specializes in Maternal Child Health. She enjoys assisting new moms with breast feeding, educating families in newborn care, and easing the transition from hospital to home.

Patty Marshall RN, is a Boston native who received her RN degree from Laboure' College and is near completion of her BSN from the University of Mass. Boston. Her love for children and women's health has led her to her current nursing practice in Obstetrics. She provides nursing care for women and infants during their postpartum periods. Infant care and breastfeeding teaching are her passions.  Patty brings along with her a background in nutrition and administration.  She worked for the WIC Program for 8 years providing nutrition counseling to pregnant and lactating women, infants and children.  She lives with her husband and 4 sons.  Patty enjoys working and helping families since she believes that the family is the natural and most fundamental unit of our society.

Colleen Myers RN, has been a Registered Nurse since 1986 receiving her Diploma in Nursing from New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing. Her specialty is Maternal-Child Health. She has spent the majority of her career assisting couples in the amazing transition of welcoming newborns into their families. For over 20 years she has worked on a high-risk postpartum/Newborn Nursery unit at Boston's Brigham and Women's Hospital. She is a Certified Childbirth Educator. She has taught formal classes in Childbirth Preparation, Infant Care, and Breastfeeding. She is also a preceptor to new nursing staff at Brigham and Women's. She has worked as a visiting nurse providing new families support and expertise during Maternal-Child Postpartum visits. She is currently in her Senior Year in the RN to BSN program at Curry College in Milton, Ma. She Lives in the Greater Boston area with her husband and together they are raising their 4 awesome children.

Amy Reyes  RN, is a graduate of the University of Maryland with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. After graduating Amy worked with teenage mothers in the D.C. area before moving back to Boston to pursue a nursing degree from Laboure College. Amy worked in Maryland for 3 years in Mother/Baby and Labor and Delivery as an RN before moving back again to Boston to raise her two children in Norwood, and work at Brigham and Women's Hospital as an RN in Labor and Delivery. Amy also teaches prepared childbirth education for ISIS maternity.

Maria Vallace RN, is a Board Certified Lactation Consultant with extensive professional experience working with families and their newborns, infants and children. For the past seven years, she's provided primary care working with pediatricians at Needham Pediatrics. Her training and employment at esteemed hospitals such as Boston Children's Hospital, Lahey Clinic , Massachusetts General Hospital and New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center brings to Isis Maternity 20 full years of experience. She lives in Needham with her three children.
